These Bollywood Movies Have Ruined College For Everyone

5 Bollywood Movies That Absolutely Ruined The Idea Of College For Us

Bollywood essentially has devastated the concept of what college life was intended to be. Whether it’s the concept of love, happily-ever-after endings, fashion, flashy fast cars, large social circles, countless parties, or exotic campus festivals, Bollywood has fed us all of our aspirations. Unfortunately, Bollywood films have an inexcusable habit of depicting things that are far too idealized and unrealistic. I accept that we all enjoy watching it, but it is unappeasable.

This movie is entirely impractical. A wacky college principal who liked to read Harry Potter in his office. Sushmita Sen as a Chemistry professor, whoa! St. Paul’s College isn’t even close to resembling an Indian college. The college depicted in the film is a Darjeeling all-boys school. The picturesque, hillside college where the long-haired Lucky learns that he has Shah Rukh Khan for a step-brother and even failed three years in a row only to get the girl in the end. So before anyone offends, I think it is one of the hits of Shah Rukh Khan. But still, some scenes seem senseless.

This movie is full of emotions and fondness. The way they have shown college life as amusing and pleasurable is a lot more than that. The film is a subgenre of comedy focusing on humorous plotlines centred on romantic ideas starring Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao, Shenaz Treasury, Vishal Malhotra, and Satish Shah. They have depicted college as it has vibrant campus canteens, Award-style inter- college festivities or the fact that you’ll get to experience relationships in the tenure. Bro, if you think like that, you need to come from reel to the real world.

This movie is Karan Johar’s actual masterpiece drama film with a stellar cast of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee. It has cunningly deceived us with its skateboards, basketball games, and glamorous friendship days, which is relatively unreal nowadays. Movies should teach us the reality of lives rather than these unworldly and meaningless stories which will get us nothing good. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was released when we were far too young. Karan Johar films in subsequent years have made returning to reality a little easier. All of us would like to go to Shimla-wala Summer Camp again as the kid inside us is forever eternal.

Student Of The Year

This film is made in a parallel universe due to the presence of improbable elements in it. It has scripted more on quality by screen playing Gucci wearing, or you can say not such middle-class students and their high raising standards. Be it Olympic-style swimming pools which is unrealistic and irrational on their part. The way they have portrayed Ishq Wala Love is of no comparison to love in real life. A middle-class student cannot afford to travel overseas on private jets. It is relatively significant. Student of the Year may have made Harry Potter’s Hogwarts seem pretty much more rational or realistic than anything. If there was an apparent distinction between fiction and reality, this film has provided the best illustration relatively in a subtle way. This has opposed the idealistic or notional idea of schools, colleges in India which is inequitable.

The film was admired and remarkable version of Robin William’s Dead Poets Society. It shows the battle between love and fear, between two stubborn men and their opposing beliefs and the outcome of the love stories of 3 couples. Given that Uday Chopra, Jimmy Shergill, and Jugal Hansraj were all in their mid-twenties at the time, we’d like to believe it was indeed a college, but the truth is that no Indian college or school resembles the Gurukul. I think there are still some debate about whether the Gurukul in Mohabattein was a peculiar residential school or college, similar to Student Of The Year. Also, Shah Rukh Khan was the only professor who was never witnessed teaching a single note or chord of an instrument to any of his students, except giving love-life advice.

Hi, this is your Filmee Boy! About me? Well, I am a "Bakchod" who performs way better than "Thugs of Hindustan" by firing "Andhadhun" words. I am the "Padman" who has always stood at "102 Not Out". Last time when you were being a "Fanney Khan" at one of your "Veere Di Wedding", I was ruling the "Baazaar" of Bollywood by singing "Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga".
