Due to him disobeying the Britishers, he is sent to the fort of Saragarhi, where he leads a battalion of 21 soldiers from the 36 Sikh regiment. The basic plotline of the movie goes in such a way that a sepoy, Tarun Chauhan of the Indian Army, is sent to a region in India’s northeast. This region is ravaged by riots and bloodshed.

During this period, he and his team need to fight ruthless militants who have attacked them and whom they courageously defeat. Following the story, the team is sent to Bengal, where they are required to combat the Naxalites. After this conflict, another dispute starts between India and Pakistan.

The storey of the Kargil war may be new to many posts watching Shershaah. Still, this movie, LOC- Kargil, had successfully narrated the storey in 2003 itself. The plot basically involved Indian soldiers fighting in Kargil and being recalled by their families.

This is one of the best war movies that featured Abhishek Bachchan as Vikram Batra, a daring soldier who received the Param Vir Chakra for his courage. Ajay Devgan portrayed Manoj Pandey as a poet by nature but devoted his life to the serving nation and was also awarded the Param Vir Chakra.
