And so the countdown begins! In a matter of 3 days, the highly anticipated psychological thriller “Chup” has already started to leave its mark on people. The initiative of the “free-view” was recently announced and received a tremendously positive response from the public, critics, and B-Town celebrities.
Following the positive response from the audience, the cast is now said to host a surprisingly exciting union of the critics and the industry, all under the same roof. The screening is to undergo an active discussion among all the members invited. Following the screening of “Chup,” the invitees will have the opportunity to comment and provide constructive criticism for the film.
The assertive filmmaker R. Balki had announced the film’s release three days before the public could see it and even before the critics. There is no moratorium for reviews by the people and the critics. This step is a well-thought-out effort to create an environment where constructive criticism is welcomed and isn’t constricted to a set level of judgment. The “debate” juxtaposes the artist and the critics’ clashing narratives, styles, and points of view. Various well-known celebs are rumored to join in the process.

Filmmaker R. Balki is the epitome of unconventionality and has a soft spot for the artist fraternity. The director has taken a huge step towards the unification of artists who long for the recognition they deserve, and it might turn into something unexpected.
The highly talented cast of the film includes Sunny Deol; Dulquer Salmaan—the superstar of South cinema; Shreya Dhanwarthy, famous for her role in Scam: 1992; and Pooja Bhatt, the returning actress from Bombay Begums.
The production is by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, and the direction is by R. Balki, who also wrote the film’s story. The dialogues and screenplay are by R. Balki and Raja Sen (critic-turned-writer) and Rishi Virmani.
The film is presented by Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios) and has all-India distribution by Pen Marudhar. The photography direction is by Vishal Sinha, and the music direction is by Amit Trivedi, Sneha Khanvilkar, and Aman Pant. The co-producers of the film are Pranab Kapadia and Anirudh Sharma.
