Alas! He is no more. The self-made comedian left for his heavenly abode on the 21st of September 2022. A tragic loss to the film industry. We lost an incredibly talented and purely comical character. Raju Srivastav was loved by all. He never failed to amuse us. Raju was always finding new ways to entertain people of all ages. Being a comedian is probably the toughest job out there.

Making people face reality and hitting them with the hard truth is definitely difficult in a way, but making someone laugh is 10 times harder. Bringing joy to every type of personality through comedy is an exceptionally talented fool’s job. Raju Srivastav effortlessly pulled off the most demanding job in the entertainment business.

Raju Srivastav – Early Life

Satya Prakash Srivastav, professionally knows as Raju Srivastav and often referred to as Gajodhar, was a comedian, actor and a politician. None other than Raju could expect the fascinating career choices of life. He was born on 25, 1963 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He moved to Mumbai in the 80s to pursue his career in acting.

1980s

The actor has worked in various movies with different dynamics. He played bijou roles in films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Baazigar, and Bombay to Goa. He had a major role in the movie Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya.

2005

Raju Srivastav explored and landed as a stand-up comedian in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He secured the position of second runner-up. Later, re-participating in the same event earned him the title “King of Comedy.”He soared higher with the success of this show and never looked back.

2009

Raju’s versatility ventured further with shows like Nach Baliye (season 6), Comedy Nights with Kapil, and he appeared in Mazaak Mazaak Mein and participated in Big Boss (season 3).

2019

His journey as a comedian came to a pause with the show Comedy ka Maha Muqabala. He later joined politics. Raju Srivastav has made headlines several times for his controversial statements and his explicit opinions.

Later Life

Raju led a simple yet rollercoaster of a life. He lived simply but performed with the most lavish luxuries in his personality. He was truly a gem. Raju was admitted to AIIMS, New Deli, after complaining of chest pain. Raju was routinely working out when he collapsed after a cardiac arrest.

He had to undergo an angioplasty and was said to be recovering. He remained on a ventilator for 41 days before finally breathing his last breath on September 21. Raju Srivastav was 58 when he left on his creative and colorful journey.
