Sukhee, which is directed by Sonal Joshi, is produced by T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment, the companies behind the critically acclaimed and loved films Sherni, Chhorii, and Jalsa.
NATIONAL, AUGUST 23, 2023: T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment announced the global theatrical release of their fun entertainer, Sukhee, following their successful collaboration on blockbusters like Airlift, Sherni, Chhorii, and Jalsa. Sonal Joshi makes her directorial debut with the movie, which is also produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, and Shikhaa Sharma. It stars Shilpa Shetty in a never-seen-before avatar along with Amit Sadh, Chaitannya Choudhry, Kusha Kapila, Dilnaz Irani, and Pavleen Gujral. The film has been written by Radhika Anand, with the screenplay by Paulomi Dutta.
Sukhee tells the story of Sukhpreet ‘Sukhee’ Kalra, a 38-year-old Punjabi housewife, and her friends as they go to Delhi for their 20-year school reunion. Making the most challenging transition of her life—from being a wife and mother to being a woman again—Sukhee relives herself as a 17-year-old while going through a wide range of experiences and emotions.
In order to give the public their first glimpse inside Sukhee’s world, the movie’s producers have unveiled a new poster. Movie lovers are about to have an endearing and joyful experience unlike anything they’ve ever had, as the anticipation grows.
