Many festivities are taking place this week, and Wishes from Bollywood stars have added an extra touch to the cheer. Makar Sankranti is one of the festivals we celebrate with a full-on Dhamaka, and traditional Indian clothing is seen in both men and women. Patiala suits in vibrant shades of green, pink, and red with zardozi and phulkari work are perfect for this occasion.
Payal Ghosh says, “My childhood memories of Lohri are filled with joy and vibrancy. The dances and the songs. Lastly, the gathering of families will always be something that I cherish.”.

The actress adds: “To celebrate the festival Lohri, which falls on January 13, I wear Patiala suits in bright colors like pink, red, and emerald green. With traditional jewelry and bold lip colors that completes the look.”
Innovative and brightly hued garments characterize this day; Patiala salwar suits are the go-to for most women, paired with ornate and heavy gold jewelry, with a ‘maang tika’ for that extra flourish. Men are typically attired in dhotis, kurtas and pagdis, topping off their look with a matching stole or scarf around the neck. To round off the ensemble, many prefer Patiala juttis. In comparison, some women opt for saris which may be light fabrics or colors.
