Gunjan Saxena Movie Review: Inspiring The Women Forever

Gunjan Saxena Movie Review
Gunjan Saxena Movie Review

This Gunjan Saxena Movie Review talks about how a woman against all the odds conquered and became the first female pilot officer of the Indian Air Force. Keeping the nepotism discussion aside, we have dedicated this article to the real Gunjan Saxena, who carried out many rescue operations during the Kargil war

Portraying role, Janhvi Kapoor has turned out to be much better than what was expected. Although she is just two or three movies old, her dedication was seen in the film – Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, which was released on 12th August 2020 on Netflix.

The movie commences with a very appealing scene and immediately grasps you. This was good, but the real happiness channeled in with the introduction of none other than Pankaj Tripathi Ji. He played the role of Gunjan’s Father, and he has once again turned out to be the best part of our Gunjan Saxena Movie Review. The Tripathi Ji has delivered the dialogues is an absolute pleasure for us. His sarcasm and that convincing tone was the real deal. Our marketing head who was watching the movie with us, immediately exclaimed – “One day, I will be doing the same with my kids” and everybody had a good laugh, hahahahaa…… On the other hand, Angad Bedi who played the role of Gunjan has done an average job at acting and holds less meat to talk about.

Shakuntala Devi Review – This Human Computer is Unstoppable, Hilarious & Invincible

Coming to a few negative things in this Gunjan Saxena Movie Review, two things were missing – energetic songs and a bustling action sequence. Just because they were missing, we kind of took a star back on the review scale. Even though, you often see biographies releasing in Bollywood and with a benchmark set by “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag,” Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl lacked that rawness.

The realistic portrayal of struggles

“We do not speak about the work culture of IAF.”

Considering the time when Gunjan Saxena went on to become the first female pilot officer in Indian Air Force, the struggles shown in the movie are quite compelling. The daily struggles and the way she was treated in a male-dominated world was something authentic. Yes, IAF may or may not have treated any female officer the road movie has shown. Still, the judgment of the same rests with the Gunjan Saxena. In light of this portrayal, IAF has written notice to CBFC, demanding an explanation of the authenticity promised by the production house. In response to the letter, Karan Johar has promised to give the necessary details or reasons. Now, only time will tell what will unfold.

Should you watch Gunjan Saxena?

By now, you might have come to the decision of whether to watch the movie or not. However, in our Gunjan Saxena Movie Review, we have highlighted the right and negative things. Ergo, in simple words, if you expect a high octane action or energy, then Gunjan Saxena may prove to be a disappointment to you. Still, it can be your regular watch on Netflix. So, do tell us in the comment section if you watched the movie or not?

Filmee Boy
Hi, this is your Filmee Boy! About me? Well, I am a "Bakchod" who performs way better than "Thugs of Hindustan" by firing "Andhadhun" words. I am the "Padman" who has always stood at "102 Not Out". Last time when you were being a "Fanney Khan" at one of your "Veere Di Wedding", I was ruling the "Baazaar" of Bollywood by singing "Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga".
