In a multi-pronged fraud over the years, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an offence against a Mumbai-based firm.

In the Belmac Residences project at Kalyani Nagar Pune, Vidip Jatiya of Supreme Holdings and Hospitality (India) Limited has been charged with Selling one flat to multiple buyers to cheat and lure flat buyers. Supreme Holdings and Hospitality (India) is a publicly listed company and part of Vinod Jatiya Group (Mumbai).

Pune resident Manish Mahadev Mali filed a complaint to the Chandannagar police station. According to Mr. Manish, he booked flat number 702 in Belmac Residences, Kalyani Nagar Pune, in 2016 and paid Rs. 1,11,54,014 towards the payment. In addition to land title issues, Since its inception, the project has been marred by controversy. Despite spending the builder their hard-earned money, the flat buyers needed to be informed of the pending litigation. When one flat was sold to multiple buyers after a long delay in project completion, Mr. Manish decided to lodge a police complaint.

Supreme Holdings and Hospitality (India) Limited shares were locked in on the lower circuit at the indexes. At the start of the year, the stock was trading at around Rs. 12.05 and reached a high of Rs. 165.07.

An investigation into forgery and cheating Indian Overseas Bank for over Rs. 73 crores led the CBI to raid the premises of the Vinod Jatiya Group in Mumbai. The CBI discovered several incriminating documents related to circular trading, diversion of funds into real estate, and bogus billing.
