The latest release of Fatafati has garnered recognition and raving reviews for Bengali superstar Ritabhari Chakraborty’s performance. Recently, supporters used the hashtag ‘#RitabhariChakraborty’ to highlight the actress and demonstrate to the world her commitment to her work.

Ritabhari Chakraborty accepted the challenge to put on weight in order to perform, basing her performance on the path of an overweight girl who aspired to be a fashion designer, Phullora Bhaduri. We are familiar with Ritabhari’s reputation for going above and beyond to embody the roles she plays. Her attempt to act the role and appear the part without using a bodysuit or prosthetics let her character relate to the viewer on a deeper level. Her character’s feelings were genuine and raw due to her having gained weight. Young girls who are healthy have been encouraged by the movie to dream big and to challenge the norms and expectations that the media and the fashion industry are influencing society.
For the first time ever, Ritabhari Chakraborty has been paired with Abir Chatterjee. Additionally playing significant roles in the movie are Swastika Dutta, Raktim Samant, Soma Chakraborty, Asmee Ghosh, Arijita Mukhopadhyay, Sanghasree Sinha, Debosree Ganguly and Loknath Dey. Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee are the film’s presenters, and Windows is in charge of production. The director of Fatafati is Aritra Mukherjee. The movie premiered on May 12, 2023.
