Sonu Sood has done great things for both migrants and the disadvantaged. He established the The Sood Charity Foundation to help provide medicine, education, and jobs to those in need all around India. His recognition of “Nation’s Pride” award at Society Achievers Awards night was no surprise.
Eknath Shinde, the CM of Maharashtra presented the award to the actor, producer, and philanthropist at a glittering ceremony as his colleagues cheered him on.
The actor received the honour of being felicitated by the Sood Charity Foundation, and responded by saying: “My goal has always been to transform the lives of disadvantaged individuals. The Sood Charity Foundation is helping these people empower themselves with tools required for a healthy and productive life.”
The gala also recognised some of India’s biggest achievers in their field. Hema Malini, Tamannaah Bhatia, Madhur Bhandarkar, Farah Khan, among others were all in attendance.
