With the news of the Odisha railway catastrophe breaking early on Saturday morning, the entire country was taken aback. In the chaos, more than 900 people were hurt and over 200 people lost their lives. The Indian film industry joined in the outpouring of grief and solidarity for the victims’ families, but actor Sonu Sood believes that more can be done.
Sonu Sood, who is well renowned for his charitable efforts with the poor and disadvantaged, posted a video on social media in which he discussed the mishap. He expressed his sorrow and sent his sympathies to the victims and their families, but he also made note of the fact that while the individuals would eventually move on, the families would continue to endure pain for a lifetime.

Sonu Sood stated that even though the victims might receive compensation, they would eventually recover. The actor asked the state and federal governments to work together and create some fixed-income programs for victims and their families of such unfortunate incidents in order to address this issue and secure their welfare for a longer period of time.
He claimed that since the loss they have experienced is always permanently damaged, receiving monthly financial assistance from the government would ensure that they do not suffer in the long term and are able to live better lives. In addition, he urged the governments to avoid blame games and concentrate solely on helping those who had been harmed by this terrible occurrence. To aid the nation in moving past the awful loss that happened, Sonu encouraged a sense of unity among all Indians.
