On his eagerly anticipated documentary feature film on the life and career of seminal Indian rapper and hip-hop artist Yo Yo Honey Singh, acclaimed filmmaker Mozez Singh recently finished principal photography.
Mozez Singh, the director of the hugely successful web series Human, starring Shefali Shah and Kirti Kulhari, has succeeded in breaking numerous barriers with regard to his art and vision. He also helmed the well-received Vicky Kaushal-starring film Zubaan, and he has just entered the world of documentaries.
The progressive director responded, “The most thrilling experience I’ve had lately has been working on this documentary film” when questioned about the film. One of the most adrenaline-filled creative rides of my career and my introduction to the hypnotic world of documentary filmmaking has been the roller coaster that is the world of Yo Yo Honey Singh. An intimate and illuminating portrayal of the artist’s life and work is promised in Mozez Singh’s documentary on Yo Yo Honey Singh. The documentary will be aired on one of the most prestigious OTT platforms, Netflix, and the teaser is already available. In addition to this documentary, Mozez Singh will shortly start production on his next feature film, a mind-bending thriller in which he makes a comeback to fiction.
