Owing to his exaggerated severity and intimidation, he appears slightly misfit for a family man character. On the contrary, the movie should be given points for equipping its antagonist with a minimal combination of humanity and complications. It is an element we rarely witness in most extreme revenge thriller movies. But Nick Hume does not effectively emerge from a calm executive to a brutal killer. Thus, Wan is prevented from reaching his full potential except in a few sequences of action.

Insidious: Chapter 2

Often in a franchise, it is common to observe that the sequels fail to deliver as much entertainment as the first installment of the series. But that doesn’t dim the fact that ‘Dead Silence’ is a more efficient and terror-inducing story to watch than some of Wan’s other more successful productions.    

Malignant

The latest creation from James Wan has got him shifting his efforts into an excessively bizarre and frightful story. Malignant focuses on the young female protagonist named Madison, who gets visions of murders in her sleep. The pot witnesses her striving to rescue the prey of the killer. A specific audience who is not exactly pleased with hideous and distorted horror aspects may not like this movie. But other than that, the Giallo production is perfect for individuals who love mind-stimulating and thrilling murder mysteries.

Aquaman

Wan was not considered seriously at first when he was introduced as the director of the DCEU movie. The audience was doubtful of the ultimate horror master as expected. However, once the movie hit the theatres, doubts and suspicions were gone with the intriguing plot and the flawless hero. Wan had successfully carried the originality of the theme and the story along with the best casting of the protagonist. Saw is a movie that comes under the category of those masterpieces that never go old. You can watch it hundred times and still jump at every jumpscare. However, this Wan production wasn’t appreciated enough by the critics for its subdued horror elements.
