At the box office, Balki’s latest psychological thriller, “Chup,” has proved itself to be an exponential example. The multi-starrer, featuring a powerful cast comprising Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, Dulquer Salmaan and Shreya Dhanwanthary, has bagged a total of Rs 3.06 crores at the box office on its first day of release. The movie was released on National Cinema Day, which involved the selling of tickets at the low price of Rs 75. However, the movie still managed to earn a respectable sum.

With the positive word of mouth and expected response, trade analysts are hopeful that this movie will be the new trendsetter. The expectations are not to earn the highest bid in the auction, but to the clever eye that confers the art that R. Balki has set forth.

Known for his other hits which help shape the industry, like ‘Cheeni Kum’, ‘Paa’, and ‘Padman’, among others, his recent psychological thriller ‘Chup’ has not left the tongues of the audience since its release. The critics won’t tire of raving about the film’s substantial artistic warfare, with its outstanding performances, heavy dialogues, and frame-fitting music by Amit Trivedi. The unique promotional strategy of a special free screening for the audience 3 days prior to its release by the filmmakers has definitely earned them a stance different from others.

Hi, this is your Filmee Boy! About me? Well, I am a "Bakchod" who performs way better than "Thugs of Hindustan" by firing "Andhadhun" words. I am the "Padman" who has always stood at "102 Not Out". Last time when you were being a "Fanney Khan" at one of your "Veere Di Wedding", I was ruling the "Baazaar" of Bollywood by singing "Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga".
