Abhishek Kapur, TV’s most popular face, shares childhood memories
People living in apartments in Mumbai do not have the privilege to fly kites on their terraces because of safety concerns, but it always reminds me of my childhood, when flying kites was all that mattered to us. In spite of this, we still eat Khichdi on Makar Sankranti, which my mother makes at home. Everyone has a holiday and we spend time together. Since the festival falls during winter, people cook sweet potatoes on sigdi and then eat them.”
Abhishek wishes that the festival brings happiness and prosperity to everyone. He says, “Makar Sankranti is the first festival of the new year and I hope it brings happiness and prosperity to everyone.” “I hope everyone’s careers keep going up the same way as the kites fly high in the sky,” he said.
