Rashmi Rocket, starring Tapsee Pannu’s role in the sports-oriented movie, breaks the stereotypes of women and sports’ 1st official anniversary since its release on Zee5. The direction was by Akarsh Khurrana, the screenplay and dialogues by Kanika Dhillon, and the production by Ronnie Screwvala. The movie, inspired by the liberating athletes Dutee Chand and Santhi Soundarajan, was “bravo-ed” for its enlightening and eye-opening script by both critics and the audience.
Recently, Kanika Dhillon, the screenwriter and co-producer who is famous for her outspoken and feministic approaches shadowed in her movies, won a nomination for best dialogue (for Rashmi Rocket) at the 67th Filmfare Awards. Dhillon and Pannu, two peas in a pod, have had a famously successful partnership.
The twin flame, Kanika and Tapsee, are in the headlines for their massive hits and are rumored to collaborate for Haseeb Dilruba 2. Rashmi Rocket is over the moon with all the love she has received for Rashmi Dhillon. She quotes, “The hard work my co-writers, my director, my producers, and actors put into the movie has paid-off well. It received the recognition it deserved. “Mainly, the movie highlights the gist of the conditions of the female athletes in India.”
