In India, the national holiday commemorates the enactment of the Indian Constitution and marks the establishment of democracy. We celebrate Republic Day every year with pride and excitement, as it marks the day the Constitution of India came into force on January 26, 1950.

In schools, colleges, and even government institutions on January 26, patriotic or desh bhakti songs are played at Republic Day functions. Sonu Kakkar shares the songs that she truly loves singing and listening to up to this day.
“Yeh Joh Des Hai Tera, Maa Tujhe Salam, and Ae Watan are the three of my favorite patriotic melodies. They will make you feel the love towards your country while listening to them on Republic Day. Something is spellbinding about these patriotic songs from Hindi cinema. They evoke patriotism and nationalism in the listener.”
