A movie that revolves around a mysterious stranger who comes to live in a sleepy village and a veteran cop investigating brutal killings swept the Indian Television Academy (ITA) Awards, as Thar racked up four awards in the best of web series category on Sunday night.
Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor was named the Best Actor in Original Film category; father and co-star and father Anil Kapoor won the Best Supporting Actor in Original Film; director Raj Singh Chaudhary and cinematographer Shreya Dev Dube were named Best Director Original Film and Best Cinematographer respectively.
“It has been a truly thrilling week for the entire team of Thar. First, Shreya was named Best Director of Photography at the Asian Academy Creative Awards, and then we won four awards at the ITA Awards! We are very excited,” says Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor.
