The awards season is on! India has so much to celebrate, like the amazing ‘Thar.’ Anil and Harshvardhan Kapoor’s Thar took India by storm and successfully did the same abroad as well! Cinematographer Shreya Dubey won the “Best Cinematographer” award at the Asian Academy Creative Awards for her work on Thar.
When Harsh was ideating the film, he realized that Shreya would be the perfect cinematographer and persuaded us all to have her. He knew she would do a great job from seeing her black and white Bengali film, which sealed the deal for him. I’m glad he got her on board because she did an excellent job!
The movie Thar has won international awards and has been nominated for the OTT Filmfare Awards. The film was praised for both its technical strand and brilliant story. It kept the audience gripped and on the edge of their seats, making it one of the few original movies to make a big noise when it was released. It is also on Netflix’s Top 10 list in non-English global movies at #6, making it one of the few movies of Indian origin to appear on that list.
