With Demonetization happening on the same date back in 2016 and Thugs of Hindostan releasing on the same date in 2018, 8 November has now unofficially become the dates of historical events.

Set in the year 1795, the trailer of Thugs of Hindostan tells a very unique story. In the beginning of the trailer, it is told that East India company came to our country for trade but is now rulling the entire nation. Post informing that we are introduced to the character of Azaad which is played by Amitabh Bachchan (earlier introduced as Khudabaksh in the motion poster teasr) and Fatima Sana Shaikh as Zafira. The visual seen n the trailer clearly suggest that Zafira is no less than a master archer. Further, it is shown that the Britishers have planned to capture Azaad because he has become a menace and the biggest obstacle in their way of ruling the country. The trailer confirms that Amitabh and Fatima are on the same side and to capture Azaad, Firangi played by Aamir Khan is roped in by the British.

Moving ahead in the trailer, it is seen that the character played by Aamir is in cahoots with the British since the time they have sent him to infiltrate the team of Azaad. The role of an evil British officer is played by Lloyd Owen’s John Clive. In the Thugs of Hindostan trailer, Katrina Kaif also makes an appearance, but her actions are still unknown in the movie.

There are few action sequences in the trailer, but they all seem to be bogged by some mediocre CGI. The language picked up by Aamir is faintly Awadhi, and clearly, he is the reason for any humor in the film. Without any denial, it can be said that this movie is somewhere has a shadow of Holywood’s famous Pirates of the Caribbean series.
This is the first time when Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan will share screen space in Thugs of Hindostan. While Khan and Kaif have already worked together in Dhoom 3, was also directed by Acharya, Thugs of Hindostan is the second movie for Fatima Sana Shaikh. Her popularity credit goes to the role of Geeta Phogat played by her in 2016’s Dangal.

Thugs of Hindostan releases on November 8.

Hi, this is your Filmee Boy! About me? Well, I am a "Bakchod" who performs way better than "Thugs of Hindustan" by firing "Andhadhun" words. I am the "Padman" who has always stood at "102 Not Out". Last time when you were being a "Fanney Khan" at one of your "Veere Di Wedding", I was ruling the "Baazaar" of Bollywood by singing "Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga".
