Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship Movie Review
For a horror movie to work, two things are essential – (a) Horror, (b) More Horror. Well, as evident as it sounds, Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship Movie successfully gives you extreme chills yet fails in the end. With this movie review, we will explore all the factors that contributed to it. Not saying that the movie was terrible, but it somehow falls from the top even after doing such a great job.
Bhoot Part One Movie Review
Packed with some stunning visuals and impeccable CGI work, Bhoot Part One Movie takes off with an exciting vibe. The lead role played by Vicky Kaushal is working with a shipping company that is given the responsibility of getting a ship removed that has docked mysteriously on the coast of Mumbai city. What gets revealed with the mystery is what this movie is all about.
Placed perfectly, scene by scene, the movie has an excellent background and foreground story. As a matter of fact, among all the films that have been released so far in India in the horror genre, Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship Movie has an excellent take in the storyline.

Bhumi Pednekar has a concise but crispy role. She plays the role of Vicky’s wife in the movie, who, along with their young daughter, has died in a river rafting incident. Vicky has given a great touch to the character with his skills, which are pushed to new limits with some of the nail-biting scenes in the movie.
Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship Movie has a perfect sound design. It impresses you at every instant. Another best part of the movie is that it does not stretches in any scene, thereby leaving a “what was that” impression.
In a nutshell, the first half of the movie was incredible and out-of-the-box.

Coming to the next half where Sumit (Vicky Kaushal’s character name in the movie), along with Ashutosh Rana and his friend, finds out more about the incident that happened on the ship, there is an outstanding establishment of what happened many years ago. The story and direction won’t disappoint you.
However, the fall commences with two things – The introduction of Ashutosh Rana was cliched. Also, in certain scenes, his dialogues delivery made us revisit us same old skills from all his past work. Had it been any other actor, the freshness in the movie would have grown multiple folds.

Next thing that contributed to the downfall of Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship Movie was the scene where Ashutosh Rana’s character starts chanting the same old mantras that we have already seen. This was not right.

Should you watch it?
If you are a horror movie lover, then this is a good watch because it takes you a few unexpected rides that so far many horror movies in India have not done. However, if you are expecting something like Conjuring or even Tumbbad, then this is not a good watch for this weekend.
