From ek bar ka commitment to kitne pratishat bhariye, everyone’s heartthrob, Salman Khan has come again to the screens (small Television screens) with none other than Dus ka Dum. The Bhaijan of Bollywood is well known for its way of pushing things into a direction that puts everyone to laughter. The TV audience is once again taken over by the king, Salman khan on a one and a half hour joyride with this third version of Dus ka Dum.
Salman khan performance as a TV show host is no less than a power-packed entry which is filled with hearty laughter along with a jibe at himself. The entry of the actor was full a on style entry where he came singing and dancing on the title number of Dus ka Dum. This entry was then followed by a personal account of how he became a name in every household and what led to the starting of this show back in 2008. This Race 3 actor didn’t leave any chance to flirt with the studio audience in his own inimitable style. This made the flow of game simply effortless. With at least an experience of 10 years in TV show hosting, Salman nailed it with its sweet smiles and winks that ultimately set the TRP charts ablaze.
Apart from Salman’s charm in the show, it was the question format that kept the audience, and we stick to watching the show. This show was more than just having bookish knowledge of the subject like mathematics, science or social studies because the questions like ‘how many Indians like sleeping in their mother’s lap?’, ‘how many Indians speak their mother tongue at home?’ were testing the understanding power, observational skills and judgement of Indian sensibilities.
The next good thing about Dus ka Dum was that it had more connection to aam admi while there was comparatively low-level level of emotional drama which we often see in Indian TV shows. The questions were indicating towards the common and real life of Indian people and the reality factor from Salman Khan made things look more realistic, thereby, making the show more enjoyable.
